# Soul 2.0 vs Nano Banana Pro

Soul for a recurring persona. Nano Banana Pro for designed images.

Soul is paired with a dedicated identity workflow on Higgsfield.

Provider documentation covers generation, editing and diagrams.

Task picks reflect documented controls. Official examples use different prompts. What we did not test

## Inspect the actual image runs.

One generation per model per prompt (n=1). This is a snapshot, not a statistical ranking. Each model ran at its Higgsfield default resolution; GPT Image 2 used medium quality. Native sizes differ. Credits are preflight estimates, not verified billed usage.

Identity caveat: the Nano Banana Pro request returned backend nano_banana_2. Its images are not confirmed Pro outputs; both IDs remain visible.

### Nano Banana Pro request · Nano Banana 2 backend

Editorial observations: AURA is legible, with light silver-colored beveled lettering. Blue light rims the case and slab; droplets cover the slate, while the lid is mostly dry. The background falls out of focus.

### Soul 2.0

Editorial observations: AURA is legible but looks recessed and blue-tinted rather than silver embossed. The slate is relatively dry with sparse droplets. A cyan rim runs across the upper edge.

### Soul 2.0

Editorial observations: The woman laughs over a cropped bowl with visible steam. Skin texture and grain give a phone-photo feel. A red sign and ceiling lights reflect in the window; there is little obvious motion blur.

Resolution options describe the documented endpoint. They do not establish matched visual detail. Native audio support does not measure sound quality or lip-sync accuracy.

## A consistent synthetic persona workflow

Start with Soul when the job is an identity-led persona rather than a one-off illustration. Soul ID is the companion workflow for retaining a character across sessions; it is not a guarantee of identical output.

## Deliberate diagrams and designed imagery

Shortlist Pro for an image that depends on labels, composition or several instructions. Google documents text and diagram improvements; every label still needs proofing.

## Run a useful comparison of your own.

- Use the same prompt, framing and reference assets.
- Match duration and resolution when both endpoints permit it; record differences.
- Keep the first successful outputs and compare the entire clip, not one thumbnail.
- Count rerolls and usable final shots before judging value.
Our benchmark method explains why no invented realism, motion, speed or cost winner appears here.

## What we did not test.

Use Soul 2.0/Soul ID when a recurring synthetic persona is the workflow. Use Nano Banana Pro for general instruction-led images and diagrams. Identity consistency still needs a reference-sheet review.

Official examples use different prompts and settings; they are not a controlled benchmark.

- Identity-retention percentage: No cross-generation identity test has been run.
- Universal realism winner: Workflow positioning cannot replace a blind output comparison.

## Before you choose.

### Which model is objectively better?

We cannot establish a universal winner from documented capabilities. Choose the required workflow, then compare matched outputs on your own brief.

### Can I try both through one subscription?

Both are in the supplied Higgsfield catalog. Starter has selected models, while broader tiers advertise more access. Confirm locks, variants and credits before subscribing.
